WSP Global takes its first steps into PR by handling the official press unveiling of former World Footballer of the Year, Fabio Cannavaro for Dubai’s Al Ahli FC.
WSP Global expands its PR Division and becomes the Middle East’s leading golf PR agency handling major accounts for the European Tour, Challenge Tour and European Senior Tour including the Race to Dubai, the prestigious DP World Tour Championship and host of other events including the Challenge Tour Grand Final, the Oman Open, the Qatar Masters and the Sharjah Senior Golf Masters.
WSP Global establishes an in-house Arabic editorial and PR division which boasts over 40 years’ worth of combined journalistic experience working for some of the region’s biggest titles and servicing the requirements of the European Tour in the region as well as working across WSP’s consumer and contract publishing divisions.
WSP Global’s events division, in partnership with Sixteen10, begins organising, hosting and promoting the Swing Against Cancer Golf Series which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local cancer charities and has featured some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment.
